How long have you been a part of the Westville Methodist community? I've been here just over three years and feel very much at home :) But this weekend marks an amazing milestone for our caretaker, Samson Shezi, who has now worked at WMC for 40 years! When I arrive at the church just before 7am each Sunday morning, usually the first person I see is Samson, sweeping the parking lot, making sure that everything is perfect for the arriving congregation. You'd be amazed to know how much hidden work happens before you arrive! Whatever the task, Samson will handle it with characteristic humility, gentleness and faithfulness. Congratulate him and thank him if you see him this weekend.

On the other hand, some of you are brand new to WMC and are still finding your way before this community feels like home. We are settling into a new rhythm when it comes to welcoming newcomers. Each month on communion Sunday (normally the first Sunday of the month) we meet for a newcomers tea after the 9am service in the lounge. We'll be doing that this weekend and hope to see some of you there!
